Graffitis, signs and their meanings / Pintadas, carteles y sus significados

When I'm walking along the streets I love paying atention to everything, taking things out of context, discovering mistakes or reading funny messages written by someone that is obviously smarter than me. Let me explain myself with some examples:

Cuando voy andando por la calle, me gusta prestar atención a todo, sacar cosas fuera de contexto,  descubrir fallos o leer mensajes graciosos escritos por gente que obviamente es más lista que yo. Me explico:

Let's say you are walking through the most abandoned place in the city, surrounded by garbage and alone, and then, suddenly, you see "It's all good" written in a fence. What would you think? The first thing that would come to my mind would be something like: Yes, of course it's all good, at least I'm not being raped...

Creepy -to say the least...-.

Digamos que vas andando por la parte más abandonada de una ciudad, rodeado de basura y solo, y de repente ves "Todo va bien" escrito en una valla. Qué pensarías? Lo primero que me vendría a la mente sería algo así como "sí, por supuesto, todo va bien, al menos no me están violando..."


Inquietante cuanto menos...

If I want to enter to the Vinyl Centre -don't ask the reason why- I understand I have to go to the new premises on corner -creepy again, if you know who works on the corners...-. But, what if I want to go directly to a suite? Do I have to go through the window or what?

BTW, I don't understand why is NOW written in bold and capital letters. A door locked with three bolts should be clear enough...

Si quiero entrar al Vinyl Centre -no preguntéis por qué- entiendo que tengo que ir al nuevo local que está en la esquina -de nuevo, inquietante, porque todos sabemos quienes trabajan en las esquinas...-. Pero, ¿y si quiero ir directamente a la habitación? ¿Tengo que entrar por esa ventana o qué?

Por cierto, no entiendo ese AHORA escrito en mayúsculas y negrita. Los tres candados en la puerta deberían ser suficientemente explícitos...

NO!! Parking.

NO what? I know there is a parking entrance in there -duh-, but I'm confused. NO what? NO eating? NO talking? NO having sex? NO dancing Una vaina loca? Definitely, exclamation marks in the right place can change the meaning of what you are trying to say...

NO ¿qué? Ya sé que ahí hay una entrada a un garaje, pero no entiendo. NO ¿qué? ¿NO comer? ¿NO hablar? ¿NO follar? ¿NO bailar Una vaina loca? Definitivamente, los signos de interrogación en el lugar adecuado pueden cambiar el significado de lo que estás intentando decir...

I have no words for this. This is great... If you can write sentences like these in a place like the Belfast "Peace" Wall, it means you are a master of irony or/and sarcasm. And you have my respect.

No tengo palabras, esto es genial... Si puedes escribir sentencias -porque ésto no son frases normales- como éstas en un lugar como el Belfast "Peace" Wall, significa que eres un crack de la ironía y/o el sarcasmo. Y tienes mis respetos.

He can swear but, at least, he is polite...

Call me whatever you want, but you know this game is kind of fun, isn't it?
